Tour in style with Chrysler

Chrysler's re-emergence in the Australian market could not have come at a worse time for the luxury models Holden and Ford produce locally. Both companies have taken a severe hit, with the new Chrysler 300C claiming 55% of the market against Statesmen and Fairlane after just three months.

And it's easy to see why. First, the 300C has a unique style with a huge grille, high and wide body, angled rear, massive 18” wheels and a squared, American-style bonnet. The vehicle turns heads, as we can testify from our test drives around Melbourne and Sydney.

However, under the hood is where the 300C has really sparked attention, with a 250kW, 5.7 litre HEMI V8 engine delivering a huge surge of unadulterated power (or to cruise beautifully on the open road). The transmission is ultra-smooth to boot, delivering fluent acceleration.

Inside the cabin there are features galore, including heated leather seats, power everything, dual-zone climate control and a lush Boston Acoustics sound system. It smacks of opulence and the driving experience is genuinely regal. Go on, treat yourself…
